About The Position

CHI Franciscan Home Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients’ abilities and needs, sets goals, and develops plans to help patients achieve independence, improve quality of life, and prevent potential health-related problems. The position serves the Burien, Federal Way, Kent, and Auburn areas. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Active registered occupational therapist license in the state of practice.
Obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS certification.
One year of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting.
Current driver’s license.
Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine therapy needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, which may include exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices to improve patients’ functional abilities.
Teach patients and family members about home safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies for managing daily activities.
Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications to therapy programs in accordance with compliance and regulatory standards.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to address changing needs.
Use outcome-based measures to assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
Communicate changes in patients’ conditions and collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other home health team members.
