The organization is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist with clinical skills, flexibility, and compassion. The position involves providing occupational therapy services primarily at the Main campus in Mason, with potential for temporary coverage at other Lansing-based campuses. This opportunity is ideal for a therapist who enjoys variety, values interdisciplinary collaboration, and can adapt to diverse client needs, teams, and treatment environments. The therapist will develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs, evaluations, and physician orders, working closely with clients, families, caregivers, and the care team to support progress in a practical, compassionate, and goal-driven manner. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and energized by helping clients build essential life skills, seeking purposeful part-time or PRN work where their expertise directly supports recovery, independence, and dignity.

Requirements

  • A degree in occupational therapy and licensure in the state of Michigan
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami)

Responsibilities

  • Provide caseload coverage for OT services.
  • Model appropriate behavior conducive to a positive working and therapeutic environment.
  • Evaluate, document, and implement treatment plans for clients referred by physicians.
  • Record evaluations, daily progress notes, discharge reports, and service billings in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure to provide complete documentation for client charts as needed.
  • Cover treatment sessions by implementing the established plan of care and documenting treatment notes accordingly.
  • Proactively initiate and follow-through with tasks utilizing appropriate problem-solving techniques to facilitate communication flow and prompt resolutions.
  • Maintain caseload levels at a level deemed reasonable by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Provide supervision of COTA services, as necessary, in compliance with state practice regulations and organizational policies.
  • Observe all rules of confidentiality as they pertain to program participants internally, and in working with outside individuals and/or agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor
