About The Position

At Atlanta Autism Center (AAC), we provide 100% center-based, early diagnostic and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorder, ages 6 and under. We are a privately-held, physician-owned company with an interdisciplinary team of highly-trained professionals. We are currently seeking a dedicated Operational Therapist to join our team. This center-based role offers a structured yet flexible schedule, allowing you to focus on quality clinical care, mentorship, and professional growth while maintaining a work-life balance. The OT will provide high-quality, client-centered, and evidence-based occupational therapy services. This role involves conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with families and professionals from other disciplines. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children across a variety of developmental levels and disorders, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young clients and their families.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Doctorate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current license to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Copy of National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in clinical, educational, or private practice settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with early intervention and/or preschool populations
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
  • Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and other co-occurring developmental

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services, including administering assessments, treatment planning, and intervention that are ethical and evidence-based.
  • Provide best practice occupational therapy services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) through assessment and intervention.
  • Develop and facilitate active, natural learning using evidence-based treatment methods.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making and quality assurance measures.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of daily living skills in pediatric clients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and family input.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation including evaluation reports, session notes, and progress summaries.
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals (BCBA, ST, PT, ) to support generalization of therapy goals.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, continuing education, and in-service training.
  • Educate and counsel families on strategies that promote independence and home programs to support continued progress.
