Occupational Therapist – Inpatient – Days (Per Diem)
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist - Inpatient - Days position at Highland Park Hospital is a per diem role requiring the therapist to provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up services to physician-referred patients. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining accurate patient records, such as evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and billing. The role also involves participating in the clinical supervision of students. This position is located in Highland Park, IL, with hours as needed between 8 am and 4:30 pm. It requires rotating weekend coverage (2 weekend days per month, with more available) and holiday coverage (1 summer/1 winter). The role also involves required travel to Highland Park, Skokie, Glenbrook, and Evanston Hospitals.
Requirements
- License: Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of IL
- Education: Bachelor of Science from a school of Occupational Therapy or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university approved by the AOTA and the Council on Medical Education of the AMA.
- Certification: CPR required, OTR certified (NBCOT preferred)
- Experience: Inpatient occupational therapy
- Skills: Inpatient occupational therapy
