About The Position

Total Education Solutions (TES) is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position at one of their non-public schools in Los Angeles, specifically Westmoreland Academy. Westmoreland Academy focuses on providing specialized curriculum and support for students with diverse learning needs, aiming to help them recognize their potential. The OT will provide services within the school setting, contributing to an effective education that meets state standards. The role offers a dynamic work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of California.
  • Access to a mobile phone for email.
  • Access to basic internet if working offsite.
  • Appropriate automobile insurance with at least 25/50k liability coverage for driving a personal vehicle for work.
  • Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
  • A current TB Test.
  • Passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities.
  • Eager to learn, grow, and collaborate with a supportive team.

  • Experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.
  • Use of a second language in your role (50% of the time) may affect salary.
  • Experience in pediatric settings.
  • Experience working with individuals exhibiting diverse behaviors and needs.
  • Specialty training in areas such as sensory processing, feeding, and neuroaffirming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Occupational Therapy services in a non-public school setting.
  • Support students in gaining skills such as handwriting, fine motor development, sensory integration, and daily life activities.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, behavior specialists, and other support professionals.
  • Contribute to an effective education that meets referring school district and California State Board of Education Curriculum standards.
