About The Position

This position involves performing examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with standards set by profession’s national association, scope of practice and hospital policies and guidelines. The role provides age-appropriate and family-centered care in accordance with current evidence and practice standards, provider’s prescription and protocols and regulatory standards. Documentation is completed per departmental and hospital policy. The therapist demonstrates skills sufficient for effective verbal and written communication with providers, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other professionals. This role also involves supervising therapy aides, students and volunteers to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards, and participating in the formal or informal education of new employees, students, volunteers, and members of same and other disciplines. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team is essential to enhance outcomes for patient care through individual patient care coordination as well as education and research activities. Participation in professional development activities, research projects, performance improvement processes, and outcome studies is encouraged. The role also includes participation in community activities, programs that benefit patients or programs that encourage wellness for our staff and the community.

Requirements

  • Current licensure to practice in the State of Texas in applicable profession.
  • Successful completion of training in accredited program in applicable profession.
  • Certification in BLS.
  • Recent graduate to 1 year of experience
