Occupational therapists collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. In the inpatient setting, therapists evaluate functional status, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide interventions focused on restoring independence, preventing disability, and supporting safe discharge planning. Evaluates, plans, directs and administers programs of Occupational Therapy in an inpatient acute level setting, upon referral by the physician. Plans and conducts OT programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum level of independence. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, volunteers and students.
