About The Position

Amazing Care Home Health Services, founded in 2004, is dedicated to providing high-quality, in-home care. We believe that supporting and empowering our employees leads to exceptional patient care. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in the St. George area. The Occupational Therapist will implement treatment plans to assist clients of all ages with various functional needs in home and community settings. We offer specialized therapy services and provide the freedom to build a weekly schedule with flexible visit numbers and preferred days.

Requirements

A master's or doctoral degree in occupational therapy (OT)
NBCOT Certification
Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the state of Utah
Active BLS certification
Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1-year clinical experience in occupational therapy is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Performs evaluations and interprets assessment results.
Develops a plan of care including skilled interventions and goals appropriate to the client's needs.
Creates and implements occupational therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
Assists pediatric and adult patients to develop or regain cognitive, neurological, physical, sensory, feeding, activities of daily living, and/or social/emotional functioning.
Improves patient's level of independence and quality of life.
Coordinates care with referring physician and other health care organizations and personnel.
Instructs client, family/caregiver, and other organization health care personnel in the client's treatment plan.
Identifies client and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate.
Prepares and submits documentation per organization policy.
Maintains clinical competency in the theory and practice of occupational therapy.
Provides mileage reimbursement for commuting between patient visits.
