About The Position

Occupational Therapist: Neuro Rehabilitation Make a real impact—help someone build independence while building a career you're proud of. The Occupational Therapist (OTR) provides comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation services for individuals in Hope Network's Neuro Rehabilitation program. In this role, you'll help individuals maximize their independence through individualized treatment plans, adaptive strategies, and collaborative care while working alongside an interdisciplinary team dedicated to life-changing outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • NBCOT certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)
  • Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license
  • Valid NPI number and ability to become credentialed with Medicare and commercial insurance providers
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to maintain continuing education requirements for licensure and certification

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years of experience working with individuals with neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries, or orthopedic injuries
  • Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Compassionate and patient with a passion for helping individuals achieve greater independence
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and mentor others
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality documentation and patient care
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic rehabilitation environment

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate individuals and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provide occupational therapy services to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), mobility, and overall independence
  • Complete home assessments, accessibility recommendations, adaptive equipment evaluations, orthotic fabrication, visual assessments, and community integration training
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support rehabilitation goals
  • Complete timely documentation, evaluations, progress reports, discharge summaries, and treatment notes within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), rehabilitation aides, and OT students as assigned
  • Provide staff and caregiver education while participating in program development and quality improvement initiatives
