On Call Massage Therapist
About The Position
As a Massage Therapist at Suncadia's Glade Spring Spa, you'll focus on providing an exceptional spa experience that exceeds the expectations of our guests. You'll perform massage and body treatments and provide personal attention to each guest. Suncadia is a premier all-season resort, tucked away on the sunny slopes of the Cascade mountains. It offers guests three distinctive choices in hotel, Inn and private home accommodations. Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in a high quality Spa
- High school graduate or GED
- Valid WA state massage therapy license
- CPR/First aid certification highly desirable
- Proficient in all facets of proper massage therapy i.e., anatomy and physiology, as well as guest privacy and general overall wellness
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests.
- Provide a professional skin care treatment to every guest that utilizes the spa.
- Provide information to guests about treatments and services, and provide demonstrations if necessary.
- Follow all procedures and guidelines in performing skincare and hair removal services. I.e., follow guidelines regarding proper sterilization of equipment, adhere to draping policy, refer guests with medical problems to their physician or dermatologist, conduct a pre-screening of clients for contraindications, and adhere to time length and treatment protocols when performing treatments.
- Promote a regimen program to clients, by which they can realize the maximum benefit from their skincare treatments at home.
- Promotes and champions resort culture and spa guiding principles.
- Must be able to effectively deal with internal & external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect factual information and resolve conflict.
- Seeks continued self development opportunities.
- Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the spa.
- Assist as needed at the Spa concierge desk.
- Attend department and property meetings.
- Proactively identify potential guest issues.
- Monitor guest satisfaction processes, and responds to guest concerns, and inquiries.
- Continue training in new techniques and products.
- Promote and sell all massage and body products.
- Responsible for organization of all product/equipment in individual workstations.
