About The Position

Theradynamics is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OTR) for an outpatient facility serving Suffern and Warwick, New York. The position may be full-time, part-time, per diem, or contractor. The therapist provides preventive services to help individuals remain in their homes and avoid nursing home care, and delivers occupational therapy interventions tailored to patient goals. It reports more than 16 years of experience working with patients to help them achieve their goals through creative treatments and state-of-the-art equipment. Compensation depends on the position, applicable experience, and employment type; rate ranges include per diem roles without benefits and independent contractors.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy school.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good written skills.
• Valid New York State occupational therapist license.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive services that help individuals remain in their homes and avoid nursing home care.
• Assess patient needs and plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet occupational therapy intervention goals.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the patient's occupational therapy program.
• Advise, consult with, and instruct multidisciplinary team members on specific occupational therapy modalities.
• Observe and report patient progress or changes in patient status to the physician and appropriate multidisciplinary team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
