About The Position

The Occupation Therapist will be responsible for performing all Occupational Therapy Services including outpatient and inpatient. This individual provides occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with the physician treatment plans. This includes evaluation, assessments, treatment program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. He/she may also be involved in the supervision of Certified Occupation Therapy Assistants, Rehab aides and students. This position will assure quality occupational therapy care and regulatory guideline compliance leading to positive patient outcomes. The Position: PRN, work as needed. Pay: Competitive and increases with experience. Shift: Monday through Friday during regular Business Hours. Once Trained, more Flexible Hours available.

Requirements

  • Completion of American Occupational Therapy Association accredited occupational therapy program with a B.S., B.A., M.O.T.,M.S., M.A., or OTD degree
  • Successful completion of the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board(AOTCB)
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist, registered in the state of Iowa
  • Knowledge of chapter 201 of the Practice Act
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be an autonomous decision maker
  • Ability to work with multicultural and multigenerational customers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Maintains certification for assigned work area
  • Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
  • Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
