About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join an outpatient pediatric team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic services that support children in developing the skills they need to participate fully in daily activities at home, in school, and in the community. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a family-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current occupational therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of pediatric development, sensory processing, motor skills, and functional participation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Previous experience in outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, or school-based services.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based pediatric therapy approaches.
  • Experience using electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to adapt treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate pediatric clients to identify functional strengths, challenges, and therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical judgment, and client goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions for children with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support meaningful outcomes.
  • Educate and coach parents, caregivers, and families on home programs and carryover strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, educators, therapists, and other care team members to support comprehensive care.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and child-centered therapy environment.
