About The Position

This position is for an Occupational Therapist (PRN-Dallas) working at our Dallas - Hospital location. The role involves weekdays with 10-hour shifts and a quarterly weekend rotation. The Occupational Therapist performs examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with standards set by the profession’s national association, scope of practice, and hospital policies and guidelines. They provide age-appropriate and family-centered care in accordance with current evidence and practice standards, provider’s prescription and protocols, and regulatory standards. Documentation is completed per departmental and hospital policy. The role requires effective verbal and written communication with providers, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other professionals. The therapist will supervise therapy aides, students, and volunteers to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards. Participation in the formal or informal education of new employees, students, volunteers, and members of the same and other disciplines is expected. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance outcomes for patient care through individual patient care coordination, as well as education and research activities, is key. The position also involves participation in professional development activities, expressing interest and ideas for participating in research projects, performance improvement processes, and outcome studies, and participating in community activities, programs that benefit patients, or programs that encourage wellness for staff and the community.

Requirements

  • Current licensure to practice in the State of Texas in applicable profession.
  • Successful completion of training in accredited program in applicable profession.
  • Certification in BLS.
  • Recent graduate to 1 year of experience

Responsibilities
