About The Position

Occupational Therapists will document findings in compliance with regulatory bodies. Other duties include: Assessment utilizing available protocols and guidelines, fabrication of splints, apply and search resources for best practices, and willingness to learn. Must also supervise COTA appropriately. Responsible to the Director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Texas.
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist is desired.
  • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of patients, visitors, physicians and outside sources.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current insurance coverage.
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check, Lab Work, Immunization Records.
  • Ability to be mobile – Continually
  • Crouching (bend at knees) – Frequently
  • Stooping (bend at waist) – Frequently
  • Twisting (knees, waist, neck) – Frequently
  • Turn/Pivot – Frequently
