OT PRN- Orchard Park and Spanish Fork
About The Position
Independence Rehab is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide services at Orchard Park in Orem and at a nursing facility in Spanish Fork. The role is expected to involve approximately 3–5 hours per week across the two facilities, with evaluation coverage needed 2–3 days per week for 2–4 hours per shift. The position serves a geriatric population in skilled nursing and transitional care settings and offers flexible scheduling and clinical autonomy. Independence Rehab is a small, therapist-owned company that manages therapy operations independently from the nursing side of the facility. The company emphasizes clinician advocacy, respect for clinical judgment, realistic productivity expectations, stable leadership, and personalized support. New therapists receive onboarding, one-to-one training for documentation and evaluations, experience-based clinical training, and ongoing mentorship and competency support as needed.
Requirements
- Current Utah OT license in good standing.
- Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Organized and self-motivated.
- Enjoy working with the geriatric population.
- Ability to supervise a COTA.
Nice To Haves
- SNF experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for geriatric patients in SNF and Transitional Care Unit settings.
- Provide functional ADL retraining and adaptive strategies.
- Conduct transfer training across all levels.
- Provide fall-prevention and safety training.
- Treat clinically complex patients.
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
- Supervise a COTA as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, ST, and facility staff.
