Occupational Therapist- School-Based
About The Position
Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and provide services in Howard County Public School System for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time position offers a consistent school schedule, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to help students build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. As a school-based OT, you'll support students in developing the functional skills needed for academic success and daily participation. You'll work with a diverse caseload, addressing fine motor development, sensory processing, self-regulation, and independence with school-related activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Maryland OT license (or ability to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- NBCOT certification preferred
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support students with fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school and state requirements
