About The Position

We have an URGENT NEED for Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our team in community-based care. This role focuses on helping geriatric patients and their families adapt to their environment, modify tasks, and utilize equipment to enhance participation in daily life. You will assist patients in managing fatigue, conserving energy, reducing stress, and learning relaxation techniques to improve sleep. Additionally, patients will learn joint protection, chronic pain management, and the use of adaptive equipment as part of their daily care. Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
CA Licensed Occupational Therapist.
CPR Certified.
Recent Physical within the last year.
Clear TB Testing within the last year.
Experienced (Entry Levels to Seasoned).
Works well unsupervised.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Home Health.
Experience with Geriatric patient population.
Experience with post-surgical patients.

Responsibilities

Help patients and families adapt to their environment.

Teach patients relaxation techniques to improve sleep habits.
Educate patients on joint protection, chronic pain management, and the use of adapted equipment.
Evaluate patients.
Follow up with patients.
Conduct home safety evaluations.
Perform ROM (Range of Motion) and strength training.
Evaluate equipment needs.
