Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another qualifying mental health discipline.
  • Current New York State license or permit to practice in an applicable discipline.
  • Ability to travel throughout the designated service area to provide services in clients' homes and other community settings.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client and program needs, including one evening per week.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of post-graduate clinical experience preferred
  • Relevant prior experience may be considered in accordance with program requirements.
  • Experience providing individual and family-focused mental health and/or SUD treatment; community-based behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered, recovery-focused individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy for mental health and substance use disorders using evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and ongoing clinical assessments; develop, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention while following established safety, response, and escalation procedures.
  • Deliver flexible clinic- and community-based services, including in-home therapy, travel throughout the service area, and one evening per week until 7:00 p.m. as needed.
  • Coordinate care and advocate for clients and families by collaborating with providers, schools, community organizations, and other support systems and facilitating appropriate referrals and resources.
  • Complete timely and accurate EHR documentation; maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies, regulatory requirements, professional standards, licensing, and quality expectations.
  • Meet established productivity requirements, including 21 hours of direct clinical services per week after caseload build-up, while participating in supervision, meetings, training, and professional development.
