This position provides occupational therapy services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice, Company procedures, Therapy Department procedures, and productivity standards. The role involves adhering to company procedures regarding documentation and billing, demonstrating sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs. It also includes conducting screenings, evaluations, developing treatment plans, and participating in resident and family education. The therapist will provide, recommend, and fabricate adaptive devices, train on their use, and confer with team members for coordinated rehabilitation. This role also involves supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides, Occupational Therapy Aides, students, and volunteers as directed, and providing education to the rehabilitation department, facility staff, and community. The position requires reporting to work on time, coordinating schedules for maximum productivity, participating in Quality Assurance programs, attending training and meetings, and adhering to cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code standards. It also mandates adherence to all company policies, including HIPAA and resident rights, maintaining current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring a safe environment, and complying with infection control and OSHA standards. The role requires reporting hazardous conditions, responding appropriately in emergencies, adapting to changes positively, and communicating professionally and effectively with residents, coworkers, and family members. All other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
