About The Position

Harvest Healthcare Services is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This position plays a vital role in helping patients regain functional independence through individualized treatment plans designed to improve daily living skills, mobility, strength, safety, and overall quality of life. Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state where services are provided.
Current CPR certification (preferred or required based on facility).
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families.
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.

Nice To Haves

Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders, state practice guidelines, and established plans of care.
Assist the Occupational Therapist with resident evaluations, treatment planning, and goal development.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or recommendations to the Occupational Therapist.
Document treatments accurately and maintain timely therapy and billing documentation.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, home programs, and safety recommendations.
Coordinate therapy schedules with the interdisciplinary care team.
Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.
Supervise rehabilitation aides, students, or volunteers as permitted by state regulations.
Participate in Quality Assurance activities and departmental meetings.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection prevention standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
