The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs to help patients restore function, improve mobility, and achieve greater independence in daily living activities. This role works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and families
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and rehabilitation practices
  • Compliance with all health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies (approved exemptions considered)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to support rehabilitation and recovery
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, adaptive strategies, and equipment use
  • Design and recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance independence
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
