About The Position

Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking an innovative and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year for grades K-12.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current and valid state Occupational Therapy license.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy services within building(s) assigned in keeping with district, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Evaluate and assess students to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services and goals.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled therapy for students as needed.
  • Complete progress monitoring and assessment paperwork for students in timely manner to comply with state and federal laws and regulations and district policies.
  • Demonstrate a relentless commitment to academic achievement of all students.
  • Assess students with occupational therapy disorders and determine eligibility for services.
  • Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with occupational therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Participate in the IEP committee regarding interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with occupational therapy disorders according to district procedures.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Report student progress each nine week grading period to parent(s)/guardian(s).
  • Counsel and involve parents in the remedial process.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve the skills of students.
  • Provide staff development training in assigned schools to assist school personnel in the identification and understanding of students with occupational therapy deficits.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
  • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, ADE rule, and APCS policy.
  • Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district.
  • Communicate positively with students, parents, visitors and staff.
  • Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.
