About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients requiring occupational therapy services. The OT will develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional outcomes, administer therapeutic interventions, and support patient recovery through rehabilitation programs in both clinical and home health settings.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical knowledge in occupational therapy assessment and treatment
  • Ability to treat both adult and pediatric populations
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in home health and outpatient-style settings
  • Strong patient education and rehabilitation planning skills
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist – Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • BLS Certification required
  • Weekend coverage: 2 weekends or 4 weekend days during contract
  • Occasional holiday coverage required
  • Must follow Cape Cod Healthcare CARES standards including compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service
  • Must maintain professional development and continuing education standards

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and establish measurable functional treatment goals
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Perform diagnostic testing to assess patient impairments and prognosis
  • Fabricate adaptive equipment and splints as needed
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical response
  • Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and education provided
  • Communicate patient progress with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs
  • Maintain therapy equipment and supply inventory
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students
  • Participate in clinical instruction and staff training as needed
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
  • Support departmental operations, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
