The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the organization and implementation of medically prescribed Occupational Therapy treatment programs, evaluating patients for appropriate exercises and activities, constructing appropriate splints and adaptive devices, and by evaluating and documenting the patient's progress related to rehabilitation. They also helps the patient reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. All duties and responsibilities are to be carried out with empathy and compassion towards patients and their families as well as co-workers.
