About The Position
This role is for an Occupational Therapist at Ascension Via Christi, Rehabilitation Hospital in Wichita, KS. The specialty is Occupational Therapy - Inpatient. The schedule is PRN, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through their academic partnership with Wichita State University.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive deficits to restore independence and improve their overall quality of life.
- Design and implement personalized care plans using advanced modalities to ensure every patient receives the most effective path to recovery.
- Educate and empower families and caregivers by providing the tools and knowledge necessary for a safe and successful transition back to the home environment.
- Collaborate and lead the clinical team by overseeing therapy assistants and technicians to maintain the highest standards of evidence-based practice.
