About The Position

The Occupational Therapist - Degree is responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients within the Autism program. The Occupational Therapist - Degree is required to provide appropriate assessment and treatment interventions to clients referred and is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of prescribed interventions with appropriate adjustment or discontinuation of service based on outcome measurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
• Registered/eligible with Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT)
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions
• Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Requires concentration and attention for treatment, teaching and report writing
• Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
• Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
• Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
• Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with clients with autism spectrum disorder is an asset.
• Background of assessment and intervention of sensory processing is an asset.
