Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in Braintree, Massachusetts. Your Role as a Home Care Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA): As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
  • Afternoon availability

Responsibilities

  • Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
  • Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Recommending and training patients in the use of appropriate adaptive equipment under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
  • Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, physical therapists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
  • Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
