Occupational Therapist Assistant - Acute Care
About The Position
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist in providing occupational therapy. Work includes addressing developmental deficits and supporting activities of daily living, work conditioning, range of motion, coordination, balance, endurance, cognition, and exercise programs to restore function and increase strength. The role is based at the hospital/clinic at 726 4th St, Marysville, CA 95901, serving patients in acute care and across neuro, trauma, orthopedics, and hand therapy. PT Solutions works with Adventist Health Rideout to provide rehabilitation therapy services. Requirements
- Graduate of an APTA- or CAPTE-approved occupational therapist assistant program.
- State licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment for treatment and assist an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients.
- Establish strong relationships with patients to support achievement of their functional goals.
- Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, fellow clinicians, and other team members.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the community.
