The Occupational Therapist Assistant will conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based on the scope of practice. They will perform treatment plans for residents, following short and long-term goals and methods to achieve these goals based on the established plan of care by the supervising therapist. The role involves interpreting and communicating evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. Additionally, the OTA will establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members, conduct therapy according to the established treatment plan, and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services. The position also requires performing all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients, and complying with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point-of-care documentation as indicated. The OTA will also perform other tasks as assigned by their immediate supervisor.
