PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant - Outpatient
About The Position
Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant assists with occupational therapy activities, including addressing developmental deficits, activities of daily living, work conditioning, range of motion, coordination, balance, endurance, cognition, and exercise programs to restore function and increase strength. This PRN outpatient role is based at 1020 Tital Court, Suite 102, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547. Requirements
- Graduate of an APTA- or CAPTE-approved physical therapist assistant program.
- State licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment for treatment and assist an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients.
- Build strong relationships with patients to help them exceed their functional goals.
- Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, fellow clinicians, and other team members.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the community.
