About The Position
Ascension Saint Alexius is seeking an Occupational Therapist for their Acute Care department. This PRN position involves evaluating patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits. The role includes designing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans, assessing patients' ability to perform independent living skills, and documenting patient progress. A minimum weekend and holiday requirement is in place.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) license credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation prior to hire date or job transfer date required. A valid license pending letter will be accepted until license is issued.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1-year acute care experience.
Nice To Haves
- Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits.
- Design and implement patient-centered, effective treatment plans using appropriate modalities.
- Assess the patient's ability to safely perform independent living skills.
- Document patient progress, monitor, and modify the plan of care as necessary.
