About The Position

Occupational Health Technician who excels in this role: Perform Drug Screens both in clinic and on-site settings. Perform Breath and Alcohol Test in clinic and on-site settings. Demonstrate competency in department specific technical skills. Maintain required certification. Prepare the patient for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing. Stock and Clean examination rooms. Maintain inventory of supplies. Prepare and maintain accurate medical records. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population specific needs of the patients served

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • DATIA Certified Professional Collector, and Lifeloc Certified Breath Alcohol Technician or certified in twelve (12) months after hire date.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in Drug testing or as a medical technician desired, knowledge of drug screening rules and regulations desirable.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse population.

  • Preferred knowledge of Occupation Health or related field.
