Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, personable and caring, and able to help patients feel at ease
Able to understand medical charts and diagnoses and coding for billing purposes
Able to maintain a calm demeanor when under pressure
Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of patient care teams
Skill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications and EHR
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in billing, business, or related field OR Two (2) years of experience in occupational health or customer service

Responsibilities

Input payment information or other financial data into customer accounts in EHR
Generate invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to customers
Work with the OrthoAlaska billing department to identify and correct billing errors
Maintain workflow and organization
Utilize accounting software to identify outstanding accounts, inform accounts of any missed/late payments and coordinate payment
