About The Position

Provides nursing assessment, intervention and evaluation for occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries. Manages on-going care of team members. Conducts required screen/testing. Provides preventative care and resource support for medical related needs.

Requirements

  • Current Nursing license (LPN, RN, or BSN) in the state of Iowa.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Nursing experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to team members, managers, and public groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as medication dosage.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Outlook, Word, Excel, People Soft, Fusion, Thrive.
  • Current Nurse licensure in State where employed.
  • CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • CAOHC certification preferred (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain nursing certifications and license.
  • Manages direct care of work related and non-work related injured or ill team members.
  • Provides case management of Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Provide support for Workers’ Compensation hearings as needed.
  • Conducts hearing tests and manages follow-up care.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing.
  • Administers vaccination programs to include Tetanus and Hepatitis.
  • Facilitates physician job site visits and Functional Capacity Examinations.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate charting of all care provided, into team member health record/file.
  • Provide resource assistance to HR representatives in assessing reasonable accommodations.
  • Conduct job assessments within manufacturing and office environments.
  • Provide risk analysis and offer risk reduction solutions.
  • Responsible for OSHA compliance and recordkeeping within scope of responsibility.
  • Maintains Health and Safety Information systems.
  • Input health information and treatment plans into appropriate HSI Systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
