We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Occupational Health Nurse/Nurse Assistant to join our team on a contractual basis. The Occupational Health Service Department supports the safety critical mission of Air Canada.

Requirements

• Current certificate of competence and licence to practice as a registered nurse (required to produce proof of registration with their professional order on an annual basis)
• Successful completion of the Occupational Health Nursing Diploma Program and or COHN Designate
• 3-5 years of Occupational Health Experience
• Experience in venipuncture, PFT, ECG audiometric testing
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) required
• Computer proficiency
• Bilingual (English and French)

• Occasional shift work

Responsibilities

• Perform non-pilot pre-employment medical examinations
• Perform medical fitness for air travel examinations
• Assist with annual pilot medical examinations
• Replenish medical flight kits
• Perform vaccinations
• Assist in employee return-to-work clearances
• Assist with emergency walk-ins at the clinic
• Check Tempus and/or equivalent medical equipment, manage required paperwork and prepare for implementation
