About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking an experienced nurse for a full-time Occupational Health Nurse Coordinator role at the VA Central Office in Washington, DC. This position offers a predictable, low-stress, and hands-on patient care experience in a professional outpatient clinic serving federal employees exclusively. The role emphasizes work-life balance with a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule, allowing for autonomy and independent clinical decision-making. The position requires a lengthy federal government credentialing process, including obtaining a federal clearance level.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of clinical RN experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Active RN license (DC or eligible)
  • BLS certification required
  • Comfortable working independently in an outpatient setting
  • Must be able to successfully complete all credentialing and background requirements for a federal clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for minor injuries and routine illnesses
  • Perform preventive services, including immunizations and health screenings
  • Deliver basic emergency response (BLS/CPR) when needed
  • Educate patients on wellness and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care
