About The Position

Evergreen Health is seeking motivated Hand Therapists for future opportunities within their Outpatient Therapy team. The therapy services are located in Kirkland, WA, with additional clinics in Kenmore and Monroe, WA. The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic and collaborative outpatient practice that requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, effective multitasking, and excellent clinical judgment. The hand therapy team collaborates closely with referring hand and orthopedic surgeons to provide comprehensive care for a wide range of upper extremity conditions. Services include post-operative rehabilitation, custom orthotic fabrication, joint mobilization, manual therapy, edema management, therapeutic modalities, taping techniques, wound and scar management, and range-of-motion and strengthening programs. Requirements

  • Baccalaureate, master’s degree, or certificate in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Washington
  • Knowledge and training in the special needs of patients from young adult to geriatric ages and is responsible for the needs associated with these groups.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart Association by start date

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in acute care and/or rehabilitative center
  • Membership in a professional organization
  • Therapists who are actively working toward certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides evidence-based assessment and treatment plans designed to optimize functional outcomes for patients with upper extremity conditions.
  • Develops attainable treatment goals in coordination with the interdisciplinary team that promote functional abilities in patients with upper extremity injuries.
  • Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability.
  • Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes.
  • Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
