About The Position

AIR Communities is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to join their team at the Chase at Overlook Ridge Community in Revere, MA. This role involves managing various administrative and resident-facing tasks related to housing occupancy, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and maintaining positive resident relations.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Specific experience in the regulatory occupancy field.

Responsibilities

  • Making appointments, receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls using a telephone script.
  • Maintaining and controlling confidential files and records.
  • Preparing leases for occupancy and making initial computation of rents and monthly payments according to authority policy.
  • Reviewing applications and interviewing applicants for housing.
  • Maintaining the waiting list of applicants for housing and determining applicant eligibility.
  • Maintaining continuing compliance and resident relations, upholding all fair housing principles, and applying the unique Program rules correctly including the student, unit transfer, unit vacancy and available unit rules.
