About The Position

JLL is seeking an Occupancy Planner to join their Occupancy Planning and Management team. The role involves providing occupancy planning expertise and leveraging a deep understanding of client space supply and demand to develop scenario and occupancy plans for a client's portfolio in a designated region. This includes fostering relationships with Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, Move Coordination, Facility Management, and other occupancy planning team members. The primary focus will be managing the development of occupancy plans, sequencing moves, and resolving planning issues to ensure alignment with corporate guidelines and maximize space utilization. The role requires being a Subject Matter Expert in the client's workplace program and using data to drive solutions that increase productivity, while modeling superior client relationship management and strategic thinking. A key requirement is familiarity with space utilization methods and presenting utilization data, including preparing and updating project status reports on seat demand, reporting on supply and capacity, forecasting inventory changes, and reconciling discrepancies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAFM / IWMS software.
  • A working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends such as the mobile or collaborative workplace is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupancy planning expertise and develop scenario and occupancy plans for a client's portfolio in a designated region.
  • Foster critical relationships with Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, Move Coordination, Facility Management, and other occupancy planning team members.
  • Manage the development of occupancy plans, sequencing group-level and individual moves, and resolving planning issues.
  • Ensure alignment of planning with corporate guidelines and maximize the use of space.
  • Recommend, educate, and enforce space policies/standards, procedures, and protocols.
  • Notify the client of customer-requested exceptions and assist in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in the client's workplace program and use data to drive solutions that increase productivity.
  • Model superior client relationship management and strategic thinking.
  • Become familiar with space utilization methods and the presentation of utilization data.
  • Identify space requirements and prepare and update project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at the building level.
  • Report on current supply and capacity, forecast inventory changes as required, and work with the client to reconcile any discrepancies from top-down projections.
