About The Position

A lovely family in Brookfield is seeking an occasional babysitter for their two 1-year-old and 3-year-old children, for an immediate start. Backup care is needed 1–3 times per month. Shifts may fall on any weekday or weekend, anytime between 5pm–9pm during the week, along for 4-hour shifts between 7am–8pm on the weekends. The children mostly enjoy playing indoors and outdoors. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family's requests, but should understand there are no guaranteed hours for this position. An ideal candidate will be friendly, conversational, and dependable. Start date: Immediate Length of position: Ongoing Schedule: Intermittent care – No guaranteed hours Typical needs: Monday–Friday, 5pm-9pm Additional needs: Weekends, 7am-8pm (4-hour shifts within this time frame) Compensation: $25 per hour Upcoming days and times care is needed: March 24th, 5pm-9pm March 25th, 5pm-9pm March 26th, 5pm-9pm

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional toddler care experience
• CPR certified, or willing to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide 2 childcare-related references
• Able to pass criminal background and social media screenings
• Preferably someone who has a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle, as the family’s home is located in the suburbs without accessible public transportation

Responsibilities

• Diaper changing for 1-year-old
• Bottle feeding/transitioning for 1-year-old
• Prepare meals for the children
• Engaging with the children; reading, outdoor activities, and limiting screen time
• Bath time routines
• Nap/bed time routines
