About The Position

Oklahoma Christian University (OC) is seeking an OC Campus Police Officer to join their team. The university's mission is to educate, mentor, and inspire learners to fulfill their God-given potential, with a commitment to hiring employees actively engaged in Christian discipleship. The OC police officers will report to the Chief of Police and are responsible for campus community policing and high-visibility patrolling to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and university guests.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
CLEET certification is required.
Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check with no felony convictions.
Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a good driving record.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be a team player with highly principled ethics and moral character and understand institutional interests.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial, gender, and cultural barriers.
Must be an active member of a local Church.

Responsibilities

Enforcing the laws of the State of Oklahoma and the rules and regulations of the University.
Conducting preliminary investigations.
Preparing reports.
Responding to emergencies.
Monitoring the activities of suspicious intruders.
Detaining and arresting individuals suspected of criminal activity.
Patrolling the grounds of the school.
