About The Position
This is a 5-bed comprehensive OB Unit covering Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Outpatient Testing. Please note that this facility utilizes paper charting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, AND Nursery/Couplet Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
- Fetal Monitoring Certification
Responsibilities
- Manage antepartum, labor, postpartum, and high-risk OB conditions (PIH, placenta previa, placental abruption, prolapsed cord, VBAC, GDM, PTL, PROM).
- Administer and titrate IV drips (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin).
- Assist anesthesia with intrathecal/epidural placement.
- Support C-sections and post-op recovery.
- Manage IUPC, ISE, amnioinfusions, and external cephalic versions (ECV).
- Interpret fetal heart rate tracings for physicians.
- Provide care for well-babies, phototherapy patients, and Special Care Nursery infants.
- Perform newborn resuscitation, APGAR scoring, circumcision assistance, PKU blood draws, and newborn hearing screens.
- Start adult and neonatal peripheral IVs.
- Perform adult and neonatal Accu-checks.
- Manage outpatient Non-Stress Tests (NST) and observation patients.
- Float to other clinical departments when OB patient census is low.
