About The Position
We are seeking an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Topeka, KS. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient coverage, including clinical duties and participation in a shared call rotation. The coverage period is from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with potential for ongoing extension. The physician will manage adult obstetric and gynecologic patients, seeing approximately 25-30 clinic patients per day. Responsibilities include performing a variety of procedures, managing labor and delivery, handling emergency cases, and documenting patient care using the Epic EMR system. Specialty backup and support staff are available.
Requirements
- Active Kansas Medical License
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active DEA Required
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS
- Experience in a General OB/GYN Practice
- Hospital Privileges Required
- Case Logs

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage
- Participate in shared 1:6 call rotation
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic procedures including Vaginal Deliveries, Cesarean Sections, Dilation and Curettage (D&C), Laparoscopy, and General Gynecologic Surgery
- Manage labor and delivery, ER consults, and transfers
- Document patient care in Epic
