About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician for a Locum Tenens position in Pomona, NJ. This inpatient role involves providing clinical coverage for labor and delivery patients, managing the labor floor, performing cesarean sections, responding to gynecological emergencies, and conducting inpatient consultations. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with a shift schedule of Mon-Fri, rotating 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), approximately 36 hours per week or full-time. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center utilizing Cerner/Oracle EMR. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. The credentialing timeline is 3 months.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active NJ license or willingness to obtain
- NPDB report (obtained within 30 days)
- May have minimal malpractice settlements - CASE-BY-CASE REVIEW
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- Experience in hospital-based OB/GYN, labor floor management, inductions, cesarean sections, gynecological emergencies
- EMR proficiency (Cerner/Oracle)
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient labor and delivery coverage
