About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecologist in La Porte, IN. The role is inpatient, supplemental coverage for call only. The coverage period is from July 24, 2026, ongoing, with specific shifts needed in July 2026. The call schedule is 24-hour beeper call, 7a-7a, with a 30-minute response time. The call ratio is 1:1, with an estimated 2% call back rate. The patient volume is approximately 10 per day, with around 100 annual deliveries. Admissions are 1-2 per day. Support staff includes 5 RNs, 1 MA, and 1 APP. Procedures and duties include managing low-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, routine and complicated deliveries, repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations, surgical GYN, laser certification, and rounding. The facility has 85 beds and uses Cerner EMR. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Active OK License
• BC (Board Certified)
• DEA & CSR
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Clean Record
