About The Position

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking an Obstetrics & Gynecology physician for a Locum Tenens position. This inpatient role involves providing supplemental coverage on an ongoing basis. The practice focuses predominantly on high-risk OB cases, including pregnant and postpartum patients. The physician will be responsible for labor and delivery, maternal placental program patients, and urgent OB needs. Support staff includes MFM physicians, OB Hospitalists/Generalists, CNMs, and ICU teams, with 24/7 Maternal-Fetal Medicine and ICU backup available. The role requires performing Cesarean sections and other obstetrical procedures. The facility has a Level II nursery and utilizes Obix electronic fetal monitoring and Epic EMR.

Requirements

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Active Minnesota license highly preferred; IMLC required if no MN license
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-risk obstetrics care, including labor and delivery.
• Manage pregnant and postpartum patients.
• Perform Cesarean sections and other obstetrical procedures.
• Assist with procedures and high-risk deliveries as needed.
• Cover 24-hour in-house call shifts or 12-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with MFM physicians, OB Hospitalists/Generalists, CNMs, and ICU teams.
