The position combines outpatient care, inpatient labor coverage, gynecologic surgery, and OB backup responsibilities.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathic school
Completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure
Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
Interest in caring for patients across a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds
Alignment with and willingness to participate in the organization’s faith-based mission

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
Approximately 20 patients per full clinic day
Average of 4–5 half-day outpatient clinic sessions per week
Participate in inpatient labor and delivery call, averaging approximately 24 hours per week
Shared weekend coverage
Additional call is compensated
Provide prenatal, delivery, postpartum, and ongoing gynecologic care
Perform gynecologic surgery and surgical follow-up
Participate in OB backup coverage
Work collaboratively with Family Medicine physicians who practice obstetrics and fellow OB/GYN physicians
Collaborate across disciplines, including behavioral and spiritual health
Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary care team
Opportunity to collaborate with and supervise advanced practice providers and participate in the education of medical students and residents
