About The Position
At NorthBay Healthcare, the obstetrical technician (OBT) is responsible and accountable for scrubbing for all OB surgeries in Labor & Delivery. In the absence of the unit clerk, the OBT also performs unit clerk functions to include general clerical and reception duties. Requirements
- Scrubbing for all OB surgeries in Labor & Delivery.
- Performing unit clerk functions, general clerical and reception duties in the absence of the unit clerk.
- Surgically assisting physicians with procedures such as c/sections and tubal ligations using sterile technique.
- Functioning effectively during obstetrical emergencies.
- Preparing surgical and delivery rooms.
- Assisting with patient care duties as assigned.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide excellent customer service.
- Supporting the organization's mission, vision, values, and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Utilize sterile technique to surgically assist physicians with such procedures as c/sections and tubal ligations.
