About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Observer to perform entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base. The Observer maintains continuous awareness of the location of employees under their control and ensures adequate observation and physical control of construction workers, including pedestrian personnel, construction vehicles, and specialty construction items or equipment. The role may include oversight of specialty items outside the construction zone and while they are being transported to or from construction sites. Observers also assist with issuing and controlling badges for personnel who need access to construction zones or sites. The Observer applies Privacy Act and Operations Security (OPSEC) principles, follows detailed rules and instructions, and interacts successfully with the public. The position requires maintaining composure under stress, conducting stop-and-question actions in closed or locked areas and at the construction site after hours and on weekends or holidays, and preparing clear, accurate reports when needed. This is an in-the-field position. A physical examination is required within 35 days before assignment. If needed for special circumstances, the employee must be able to obtain a required specialty license for operating equipment or vehicles on site within 30 days. The contractor must cooperate with requests to testify or provide statements in administrative or criminal legal proceedings; employees called to testify for the Government do so in a duty status.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance.
At least 2 years of experience in at least one of the following: construction security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, industrial or government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on supervisory construction experience.
Valid state-issued driver's license or permit.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must not have misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, assault, or battery, or felony convictions, and must not receive such convictions while employed in the position.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to meet and deal successfully with the general public.
Ability to apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials to assigned duties.
Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Ability to conduct stop-and-question actions in specified areas and circumstances.
Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate detailed reports when needed.
Physical examination required within 35 days before assignment to duty.
If needed, ability to obtain within 30 days any required specialty license for operating equipment or vehicles on site.
